Welcome to Aswan, Egypt’s third-largest city. We begin with a visit to one of the country’s most impressive modern engineering feats – the High Dam of Aswan – which created the vast 500 km-long Lake Nasser stretching deep into Nubia.
On the way, we cross the older British-built dam.
A bus takes us to the motorboat docks for a short ride to one of Egypt’s most remarkable sanctuaries – the beautifully preserved Temple of Isis. Originally located on Philae Island, the temple was relocated to higher ground on Agilkia Island after the construction of the High Dam, thanks to the efforts of UNESCO and the Egyptian government. Enjoy spectacular views of this majestic site.
Back in Aswan, we visit a rose granite quarry where you’ll see the famous unfinished obelisk.

Donnerstag, 2. Tag
Frühmorgens optionale Busfahrt zu den monumentalen Felsentempeln von Abu Simbel.
Heute besuchen wir auch den Doppeltempel von Kom Ombo, der dem krokodilgestaltigen Gott Sobek und dem falkenköpfigen Gott Haroeris geweiht ist.
Kom Ombo lies halfway between Edfu and Aswan, our destination for the day.
On the way, you’ll have the chance to enjoy a special experience: a refreshing swim in the Nile – the longest river in the world – completely safe and crocodile-free. Take time to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views and tranquil atmosphere.

Freitag, 3. Tag
Early morning arrival in Luxor. To crown your journey, we visit two of the greatest highlights on the east bank of the Nile: the vast Karnak Temple complex – the second-largest in the world – and the Luxor Temple, with its famous Avenue of Sphinxes stretching over three kilometers.

Samstag, 4. Tag
Transfer to the airport and individual departure.
